What you will build and master.
Deconstruct linear pipelines into state machines. Understand cyclic graphs, nodes, edges, conditional routing, and state storage using LangGraph.
Define strict JSON and XML schemas. Handle tool validation failures, model hallucinations, rate-limit retries, and sandboxed execution.
Implement sliding-window conversational histories, vector-based semantic retrieval, and episodic database storage for long-term agent memory.
Chunking models, document metadata extraction, semantic reranking (using Cohere/Cross-Encoders), query rewrite nodes, and citations mapping.
Connect LLM calls and tool executions to tracing platforms (LangSmith, Phoenix). Debug failing node states and analyze token latencies.
Write deterministic and model-graded assertion checks. Evaluate agent accuracy, retrieval relevance, and safety boundaries before shipping.
Wrap agent graphs in FastAPI backends. Manage async connection pools, streaming responses, websocket connections, and API authorization.
Implement semantic caching to reduce token overhead. Configure rate limits, cost alerts, and fallback routing models.
